SDDM defaults to another font, as our default in Plasma is set from some startkde scripts and/or frameworksintegration plugin.

Not sure of a good solution

It also seems it defaults to a different iconset (hicolor?), at least non-Plasma-SVG icons do not show.

Seems to be fixed now. Also you can now sync your font and icon settings to SDDM, thanks Filip!
