Description Josef Kufner 2015-07-22 19:09:18 UTC
Tablets and convertible laptops usualy have some unusual button. For example Thinkpad Yoga has one button next to volume rocker on the edge. When operating in tablet mode, this is the only button left from keyboard. So far I'm using this button to toggle dashboard, but it is not very practical, because I cannot add keyboard widget to dashboard (target window does not have focus anymore when dashboard is visible).

I would like to have option to toggle a panel with this button (it is ordinary key). So panel would be completely hidden or visible as usual. Just like the dashboard. This will allow me to use keyboard and some other stuff I like to see only sometimes.

Reproducible: Always

I'd suggest trying https://store.kde.org/p/1269113/ - it can be activated with a keyboard shortcut. I have just tested and set it to Ctrl+Shift+X and it allows me to show/hide the panel.
