Description Salvo "LtWorf" Tomaselli 2015-07-22 13:57:09 UTC
The background of login window (sddm), unlock, and logout, should be darker and less transparent, if you want to have white text in them.

Right now it is not readable and I have to click at random and learn the position of the elements.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
I can't read white on white

Expected Results:
Text and background of different (enough) colours.

That looks pretty broken. Can you try disabling Blur and/or Background Contrast desktop effect and see if that improves the situation?

Can you also include the output of

qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin org.kde.KWin.supportInformation

(run in Konsole)

Thank you

qdbus.txt

Doesn't get better disabling those effects

There is an effect that in italian is called "Termina la sessione" I
don't know the original, and setting LANG=C doesn't work. If I disable
that effect, it removes the blurring on the top and bottom sides of
the screen, but the central part remains white.

Can I ask what Plasma theme are you using?
Comment 10 Salvo "LtWorf" Tomaselli 2015-08-01 10:03:50 UTC
Glassified
Comment 11 Martin Klapetek 2015-08-05 14:22:16 UTC
Ah ok. This looks like a problem of the Glassified theme.

I would suggest contacting the author and asking him to update the theme for Plasma 5 (if he hasn't already).

Can you confirm that if you select Breeze theme, the dialog is ok?
Comment 12 Salvo "LtWorf" Tomaselli 2015-08-06 14:00:59 UTC
Yes it is readable on breeze.

The glassified theme was last updated 5 years ago and there are no contact informations for the author.

Is there a way to remove abandoned content from kde-looks?
Comment 13 Martin Klapetek 2015-08-06 14:16:13 UTC
Unfortunately we do not control kde-look.org or its content, so there is nothing we can do about that.

Sorry.

(if you register/login to kde-look.org, you can open the author's profile and there's a link for "Contact", you may try that)
