Description Michael Mounteney 2015-07-22 11:18:39 UTC
Konqueror 4.14.9 built on development platform 4.14.10 with GCC 4.9.3 on Gentoo ~x86

Crashes when the following two URLs are opened in this order:
http://mypolice.qld.gov.au/farnorth/2015/07/22/fatal-traffic-crash-manoora/
http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/jul/21/islamic-extremism-cameron-struggle-generation

Sometimes it is necessary to wait for a few moments, or to scroll the Guardian page.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Konqueror and navigate to the first link.
2. Open a second tab in the same window and navigate in it to the second link.
3. Scroll the second-loaded page down.

Actual Results:
Konqueror crashes.

Expected Results:
Konqueror should continue to run.

Running over a remote X session started via XDMCP.

The website http://www.theguardian.com alone will crash Konqueror. Konqueror crashes with only one tab open on this website. I have cookies set to prompt. Crashes occur whether I accept or reject the cookies from this site. I have java and java script disabled. I have a trace available, but DrKonqi crashed when logging into the bug tracking system. This has been repeatable for years, I have finally taken the time to report it. This is reproducible every time.

OS is Debian 7.9 (wheezy) with kernel 3.19.2-custom. The kernal is the only thing I have compile myself.

Dear Bug Submitter,

This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond.

Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!

The bug does NOT manifest on Konqueror 5.0.97.
