Description Nathan GDquest 2015-07-20 07:14:57 UTC
I uploaded a video to showcase the problem. The warp tool is unresponsive starting from small resolution assets, and the liquify tool is mostly slow to respond. It was the case as well with Krita 2.9.5. This makes the deformation tools unusable here.

Reproducible: Always

Dunno if the GPU can play a role, but I have a GTX970 with up to date drivers.

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for your report. We know that liquify's performance should be improved, but warp seems fine here. Can you check whether you've got opengl enabled in settings/display? That should make a lot of difference.

I did some research and had tried disabling and re-enabling open gl before posting the bug. So the video is actually with OpenGL on - without it, it's much slower.

There might be ways to speed up liquify, but it's not something we have time to work on right now. I've added a note in our todo system:
