Hi.

I found a problem to use the Bezier Selection tool. It would be great to tweak the selection bezier points during the tool is active. Tweak points to get selection correctly.

We discussed this on IRC and Dmitry Kazakov confirmed this is a good feature.

We talked about Vector selection.
Here is IRC talk:
<mifth> dmitryK_: can we add editing of the points when the selection tool is active?
<mifth> dmitryK_: just during points creation
<mifth> scottyp: i think when the tool is active and tweak points on the fly
<dmitryK_> mifth: before the cyrcle is closed you mean?
<mifth> dmitryK_: yes exactly
<mifth> dmitryK_: it would be super interactive tool
<scottyp> that sounds difficult
<scottyp> to use to me
<-- matthias_2 (~matthias2@gw-to-666.outscale.net) has quit (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)
<dmitryK_> mifth: well, it is possible, but it would need quite a bit of work
<mifth> i have no PS. But i'm sure they have such interactive tool
<scottyp> they do not for selections
<scottyp> not like you are describing
<dmitryK_> mifth: it would be really good to have a set of requirements for this task
<mifth> dmitryK_ scottyp deevad boud are you ok if i'll add such a feature request?
<scottyp> what you want, it seems to be easier to start with a regular vector shape, then use that shape and do a "select opaque" to make it a selection
<mifth> scottyp: but if you make 10 selection masks per minute - it will be reasonable imho
--> mtcos (~mtcos@5-14-74-133.residential.rdsnet.ro) has joined #krita
<mifth> scottyp: for fast selection tweaks
<scottyp> mifth: can you give a use case?
<-- mtcos (~mtcos@5-14-74-133.residential.rdsnet.ro) has left #krita
<dmitryK_> scottyp: btw, PS has adding/removing points in the bezier tool
<mifth> scottyp: here is https://pp.vk.me/c543101/v543101491/31f/ahD_9mQhKPs.jpg
<scottyp> dmitryK: that is a vector tool, not a selection though, correct?
<mifth> scottyp: for eyes and jaw - the artist from my studio used selection

I see now you can edit vector points by selecting a vector drawing with the arrow pointer and afterwards with the edit route tool.

You can edit vector points, but if a point was not created as a sharp corner vector point you can not angle its handles anymore. I mean straight handles will remain as straight handles forever and angled points will be able to modify its angle. Am I wrong?

It would be nice if you could angle a straight handled point while editing it.

Please consider making it possible.

Thanks

And also creating asymmetric length in handles of vector points, just like in photoshop.

You can edit vector selection using normal vector tools on Global Selection Mask after making a selection in a vector selection mode (so the straight points can become smooth etc.). Moreover there are interactive ways to make the selection in the first place. However I don't see an interactive (during creation of the selection) way to edit already placed nodes. So, is this wish still valid?
