Having created a wrong account, I wanted to delete it .. Impossible ligne greyed in the contextual menu .. Nothing special about that account. That's the only one to do that. Reproducible: Always

Check your schedules and reports, and sub-accounts. Allan
To be more precise: you can't close an account if it has a balance differing from 0. You cannot delete it if it contains transactions. Delete those as well or move them to another account. Schedules can also reference an account. I am not sure about reports. Could be that they will be removed from reports during their deletion.
Please uprgrade to at least 4.8 and then report back.
