Next to that dr. k turned on. Till now more or less everything was working ok, now im afraid i have to again restart the whole thing :(

but im using bleeding edge so i guess im used ot it :-)

sorry..my correct wording would be "re-install everything" :-)  it was late...

.... i think if ksmserver doesnt want to start and if it asks you to "check your installation", no update can fix it, right? only re-installation---?

also one other thing... i could check during the bug reporting for duplicates, but because the crash happened before all kubuntu components could load, dr k's "suggest this report is related" button didnt  work... os i was forced to open this new bug report... plase if you find this bug report to be a duplciate of some other, can you mark is as such...

i removed a PPA which was cousing this problem and now i dont have it anymore... marking as worksforme...
