Hello everyone, I really like the trim margins option of Okular, it's really usefull to read pdf on small screens. Nonetheless, there are to me two limits to its 'automatic detection of the borders': 1- if there's something at the top of the page or at the bottom that is not of interest, it can't be trimmed 2- there are actually few millimeters left àt the top and the bottom That's why I suggest the following solutions: Could it be possible to personalize the trimmed margins from: a- from the automatic-detected borders by Okular actually b- just from the normal borders of the pages++ (I am actually thinking about croping the pdfs with pdfcrop, but then I would have several versions -cropped or not- of the same files, problematic with the annotations) (if It wasn't clear, I mean adding four parameters: + or - Xmm from top, left side, bottom right side from the borders of the pdf or from the trimmed margins as okular would find (fifth parameter) What do you think about that ? It seems to me usefull and feasible (but I don't have the skills actually to manage it) Thanks a lot, (and a big thank you for all you have already done) Thomas, medecine student
(for point 2- I mean there are actually residual margins)

Created attachment 95254 [details] attachment-24770-0.html Hello Jake, You probably don't remember me, I have suggest a year ago to add a self trim margins feature to Okular and you have compute it - thanks a lot one more time. I am actually curious: how could I benefit from this feature ? Is there any 'PPA' I could add to my repository ? Would you have an idea when this would be available with an update of Okular ? Thanks a lot, I wish you a wonderful day, Thomas 2015-08-12 17:06 GMT+02:00 <JakeLinder@mail.com>: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350073 > > JakeLinder@mail.com changed: > > What |Removed |Added > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > CC| |JakeLinder@mail.com > > --- Comment #2 from JakeLinder@mail.com --- > Can close as dupe of 351156. > > -- > You are receiving this mail because: > You reported the bug. >
