In this screenshot you see several entries: http://images.sjau.ch/img/254ae536.png The Feed is labled as "Fefes Blog" which can be found under http://blog.fefe.de/ However the individual entries belong to a different blog, namely the one of Dominique Strebel, which can be found here https://dominiquestrebel.wordpress.com/ So in the list the feed displayed is wrongly labelled. Reproducible: Always
looks fine to me. perhaps you mistakenly named Dominque's feed as "Fefes Blog" or there was some error on the server-side. I cannot reproduce
No, those are two distinct feeds. It happens once every while again. Feeds showing different name and even from different folders.
Ok, it just happened again: http://images.sjau.ch/img/5bcde3a0.png The feed entry there is from the "Schweiz" folder and more specifically it's this feed: http://www.news.admin.ch/dienstleistungen/00008/index.html?lang=de&rss-id=0_2 which points to this entry: https://www.news.admin.ch/message/index.html?lang=de&msg-id=58614 However it's listed in the "News" folder and the blog name is fefe. Fefe's blog is to be found here: http://blog.fefe.de/ and there's no such entry.
ok, then. reopening
the problem is it happens randomly. I would need some pointers on how/what to debug. It can be fine for 3-4 weeks and then for some reasons it mixes up again and then it can be fine again.
Here's another incident: http://images.sjau.ch/img/aa43b378.png Suddenly entries from Bruce Schneier's blog appeared in Fefe's blog. Also surprising is, that it showed entries as new that I already marked as "read" in Schneier's blog entry.
This bug has never been confirmed for a Kontact version that is based on KDE Frameworks, except possibly a Technology Preview version 5.0.x. Those versions differ significantly from the old 4.x series. Therefore, I plan to close it in around two or three months. In the meantime, it is set to WAITINGFORINFO to give reporters the opportunity to check if it is still valid. As soon as someone confirms it for a recent version (at least 5.1, ideally even more recent), I'll gladly reopen it. Please understand that we lack the manpower to triage bugs reported for versions almost two years beyond their end of life.
Why even bother to report bugs if thats how they are handled?
Since this was not reproducible, and only appearing randomly, there was no specific fix developed. This bug, however, could have been fixed by a commit for a different bug, and we are asking you to test a recent version. If you choose not to report bugs in the future, we have to accept that.
I have the same issue and in bug 366200 the same is documented from another one. What I discovered: - the behaviour appears only in Fefe's Blog feed - this is (for me) the only blog where the author flag is missing - "foreign" feeds get assigned to "Fefes Blog" as feed source - in my sorting Fefes Blog is the first in the list - maybe coincidence Akregator version: 17.04.2 Gentoo Linux
