I recently downloaded Krita so that i may continue to paint. I rebooted my laptop so i no longer have Photoshop. While working on Krita i notice the bugs right away: whenever I use a bristle brush, it freezes, it completely stops working when I open other files, it shuts itself down constantly, other times it takes forever to open and it even closes or freezes when I am doing nothing. I understand that this is a completely different beast compared to Photoshop, and I appreciate that, but its not User friendly at all and all these problems are keeping me from getting any work done. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Uninstalled 2. Reinstalled 3. Restart computer Actual Results: Same problems
Be, thank you for your report. Could you give any kind of further information about your computer, like the Ram, Processor type, Videocard, which type of windows, whether or not it's 64bit compatible, etc. Furthermore, you should seperate out which crashes you get(by cause), and perhaps try to see if you can delete the kritarc file in %appdata%/roaming, whether that has any effect. No modern program outside drivers actually benefits from being reinstalled any more, you see. Right now, your bugreport is so incredibly generic that by the rules of the system I usually would have to close it, so if you could provide the information I asked, that would be great!
Hi Be, Honestly, this is not normal. There must be something specific up with the combination of your system and that build of Krita. Unfortunately, without more information about that combination we cannot begin to investigate the issues you experience.
Please try the 3.0 release. It uses a different compiler and might work for you. Without more information we cannot do anything with this report in any case.
