In fixing LibreSSL compatibility, https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/121107/ broke compatibility with OpenSSL 1.0.0. Since all newer versions have unresolved vulnerabilities, this is potentially a problem. I suggest using an #if to restore backward compatibility. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try to compile QCA 2.1.0.3 against OpenSSL 1.0.0r Actual Results: /var/tmp/portage/app-crypt/qca-2.1.0.3/work/qca-qt5-2.1.0.3/plugins/qca-ossl/qca-ossl.cpp: In member function ‘virtual QCA::TLSContext::SessionInfo opensslQCAPlugin::MyTLSContext::sessionInfo() const’: /var/tmp/portage/app-crypt/qca-2.1.0.3/work/qca-qt5-2.1.0.3/plugins/qca-ossl/qca-ossl.cpp:5808:73: error: ‘SSL_SESSION_get_compress_id’ was not declared in this scope Expected Results: Successful build Reverting the LibreSSL patch does fix the build
There is even more cases when I used OpenSSL 1.1.0
Please try QCA 2.3
