Every time I run "Maintenance" (regardless of how many or few options I choose) it crashes. The debug info is empty after the crash as well. I have loaded the debug packages. In particular, am unable to get a clean tag update run in order to get tag consistency. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click Tools->Maintenance 2. Select Whole Albums Collections 3. Select Work on all processor cores 4. Select Sync Metadata and Database 5. Select Sync Direction from database to image metadata Actual Results: Runs for a period of time, then the application crashes. I've done this a number of times. Expected Results: Completion of maintenance run, all image tags updated to match database. Running Digikam 4.11 on Unbuntu 14.04 under Oracle Virtual Box 4.39
Additional information. There are over 100,000 files in the collection. The collection being worked on here is on a virtualbox "Shared Folder" - which is shared by the underlying windows 7 host.
If you unselect "Work on all processor cores" this is different ? Gilles Caulier
It seemed to run longer this time after unchecking 'Work on all processor cores" - however it still crashed with message "Executable: digikam PID: 2349 Signal: Aborted (6) Time: 07/11/15 04:35:30 PM"
I've experimented with selective album selection (so far 2000 files or less) at a time, and it hasn't been crashing during these runs. So there seems to be a work-around.
digiKam 4.12.0 is out. https://www.digikam.org/node/741 Problem still reproducible ? Gilles Caulier
Created attachment 94107 [details] attachment-9355-0.html I updated to 4.12 and ran maintenance without a crash.
