Krita makes a cut&paste when switching between subwindows. This seems to happen when transform tool was used in the other. Switching to another tool like brush before selecting the other subwindow seems to give expected result. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open two images to their own subwindows 2. Select transform tool and accept transformation on one of them 3. Select other subwindow and make a selection 4. Select the original subwindow Actual Results: Krita cuts the selection on one, pastes it on the other and activates transform tool Expected Results: Activating a subwindow without additional operations Selecting something on the other image seems optional. If nothing is selected, Krita cuts and pastes the whole image.
In the linked video the copy&paste in the end was intentional (ctrl+C on one, ctrl+V on the other). Other cuts were automatic.
I could not reproduce this bug. krita 2.9.5.2 windows 7 sp1 ultimate x64 i7, 16gb, gtx750 PS: I could not reproduce this bug, but I noticed something odd. The last tool used does not stay in the other subwindow. Each sub-window seems to have a proper context with the tool. I'll open a bug about it!
Still does this on 2.9.6 for me. No one else has this behaviour? I'm on Ubuntu 14.04, Gnome 3 Classic, nvidia graphics. Compiz does the window management so maybe it could be related to that somehow.

Hi JA12, In my case with 2 flattened images I couldn't get the issue I saw in your video (I didn't check with multiple layers, though). I've tried to reproduce it on Ubuntu 14.04, Unity - Krita: 2.9.6 (git 2ca3028) - Nvidia graphics - Compiz.
I'm really sorry, I cannot reproduce either :-(
I'm sorry, I'm going to have to close this issue, we cannot reproduce it, so there's no way we can figure out how to fix it.
