Description apache 2015-06-20 11:48:34 UTC
Both in Icon-Only task manager and in regular task manager icons are too small. They seems like a half of an icon size of icons that are added as launchers with right click add to panel.

I know that we can have two rows of icons and then they must be smaller but with one row they shouldn't be so small, there is simply no reason for it. Bigger icons are better visible and makes work easier.

Please add option to scale them as it is possible in icon-task-fork.

Sorry, I didn't noticed version but I tested it on updated Kubuntu 15.10 daily build.

Should I report separate bug for regular Task Manager?

Reproducible: Always

Sorry, I can't take screenshot because after upgrade system hangs. When I fix it I will post screenshots. But even on photo you can see that icons are about a half of the panel width.

As comparison - icon size in KDE 4 - icon-task-fork has option to scale icons - this is great feature and would be awesome to have it in default icon-only task manager in plasma 5

Correction: on plasma4.png I use Icon tasks by Craig Drummond
It also has option to set space between icons in pixels.

But smooth-tasks-fork also has some great features.

The icon size is limited by available space within the task button frame. The frame in the Breeze theme is wide enough to e.g. fit that strip you see to the right of the spinner in comment #3.

However, the margin sizes in the theme are currently wider for vertical vs. horizontal, which is a bit odd. I'm not sure yet if this in the theme SVG files or the panel code.

It's a long time since last comment - almost a year. Can we expect some changes any time soon?

Icons on panel on task manager are ridiculously small in relation to panel size. Not only in active task but in launchers as well.

There are no changes planned to this at this time - that's just a theme that needs fixing.

The Breeze theme bugs mentioned in comment #7 got fixed since, I forgot to update the bug.
