Description markuss 2015-06-08 20:26:02 UTC
PulseAudio has a Even Sounds playback stream. Plasma 5's event sounds should use it because acoustic notifications are evil ;-) and I like to turn them off all at once (setting audio output to None was possible in Plasma 4's Notifications KCM but no longer in Plasma 5).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Mute Event Sounds in KMix
2. Make a warning dialog box appear (e.g. by changing something in System Settings and then select another KCM)

Actual Results:
*brring*

Expected Results:
[silence]

Plasma 5.3

I don't think it's a bug in KMix but whatever component makes notification sounds. I chose the "kde" category because I don't know which component is responsible.
