Hi,

VLC 2.0.6 is included in Digikam 4.10.0 installation package. The antivirus detects it as a vulnerability.

Last VLC version 2.2.1 offers improvements and fixes security issues.

Is it possible to include the most recent version?

digiKam 4.11.0 Windows installer is available for download :

With next digiKam 5.0.0, we will provide a Windows version where this problem
do not exist anymore, since video support is delegate to Qt5::Multimedia framework.

Since digiKam 5.2.0, we don't use Phonon/VLC to play video. Instead QtAV/ffpeg framework is used.
