The Settings -> Configure Chat Application only shows the default styles under the drop down Style -> Message Style (those being SimKete, WoshiChat, Renkoo). Despite adding quite a few that worked previously from http://www.adiumxtras.com/ to ~/.kde/share/apps/ktelepathy/styles/, restarting, rebooting, etc. no new styles will show up. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. download and extract a style of your choice from http://www.adiumxtras.com to ~/.kde/share/apps/ktelepathy/styles 2. Start Telepathy, open a new chat window 3. Go Settings -> Configure Chat Application under "Chat Window Appearance" and "Normal Chat" 4. Click the "Message Style" drop down to look for the name of your new style Actual Results: only SimKete, WoshiChat, Renkoo (defaults) are listed. The newly copied styles are not there. Expected Results: New styles should be listed under the drop down. I'm currently running Kubuntu 15.04 with the backports PPA. KDE Frameworks 5.9.0, KDE Applications 15.04.1 ( I guess plasma 5.3.1?) Before moving up to 15.04.1/5.3.1, the styles were listed just fine, so this isn't a KDE 4 -> 5 issue. Something's broken between 5.0/15.0 and 5.3.1/15.04.1 I also tried putting the styles under these other folders, on the off-chance I had the wrong folder: .kde/share/apps/ktp-text-ui/styles/ .kde/share/apps/ktp/styles/ .kde/share/apps/kopete/styles/ The styles I've tried are solarized, Clean, mnmlsm, kalm, Fresh n Clean, gaimWithIcons, Smooth Separate Lines.
Thanks for the report In kde-telepathy 15.04.x, the styles no longer go to ~/.kde, but they go to "~/.local/ktelepathy/styles"
