Description Rishabh Das 2015-06-03 06:13:42 UTC
When multiple screens (higher resolution than laptop) are connected, and laptop screen is turned off, application menu and system tray items and notifications, when requested, open in the middle of screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Fedora 22
2. Connect 2 Monitors using docking station, enable both and disable the laptop screen
3. Detach the laptop so the only active screen is the laptop screen.
4. Connect the laptop back to the docking station and wait till the two connected displays are activated and laptop screen is turned off.
5. Click on application launcher or any item from system tray (eg - clock, sound etc)

Actual Results:
Application launcher and other details are displayed in the center of the screen.

Expected Results:
Should be displayed at their respective locations

Thanks for the report

Can you post the output of "xrandr -q" after step 2 and after step 4 so that we have a better idea about your setup?

When I detach the laptop from docking station, switching the display from two monitors to single laptop screen, maximized windows cover just half the screen. Even after Minimize and Maximize operation on the windows, maximum area covered by a window is half of the screen (check screenshot)

xrandr -q outputs:

Its duplicate of bug 348261 except that bug mentions it being reproducible only for sticky popup which is not case.
