The application opens in a window at every boot. If I uncheck auto-start in settings, will the application stop showing in my system-tray giving me an easy and fast way to control my audio/volume???? Last time I fiddled with the settings, KDE Mixer dissapeared on me and I had no easy way for sound control for months. I don't want KDE Mixer to open in a window on every boot but I just re-installed the OS and in my previous system the same thing happened and I tried to fix it in the settings but that didn't work because after I made it stop opening after reboot I never found the application again..... it didn't show on my panel/system-tray and was nowhere to be found..... I'm going to try to uncheck auto-start in settings but I will be really dissapointed if the application stops living in my system-tray where it is most useful to me. Reproducible: Didn't try Actual Results: KDE Mixer is open in a window on the screen when the system starts. The first time this happened I tried to fix it in the settings but after that the application was never seen again. Expected Results: KDE Mixer starts on boot but lives in the system-tray/panel with a neat icon wich shows the volume and if you right click it you get options to configure and set the sound.
Works here, the KMix window opens in the same state as it was when KMix was last quit (i.e. if the window was open then it is restored, if it was not then KMix starts up in the system tray only). Whether KMix starts automatically when the desktop starts is controlled by the "Start KMix on desktop startup" option in Configure KMix - Startup. Please confirm if this is still an issue with current KMix and Plasma 5.
