Description Pascal Niklaus 2015-05-24 05:22:20 UTC
This related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=347631, and I am now reporting the issues separately as requested:

It is not possible to print some documents without the content being cropped.

Two examples:

1) http://www.uni-saarland.de/uploads/media/Promotionshandbuch_-_English_Doctoral_Candidates.pdf

When printing, a large part of the 1st page is cut off. Interestingly, okular says it is A5 format, but when printing it exceeds the margins of an A4 page:

2) https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/pdf/eintr.pdf

When printing with 2 pages per sheet, the top part of the pages is off the paper margin and the pages are not centred on the sheet, so that I can't read the document.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open PDFs listed above
2. Print them

Actual Results:
Part of the printout is off the printer margins

Expected Results:
- At least for documents with page sizes smaller than the printer's paper size: Entire content within printer margin

I have the same problem in Okular 0.19.3 (Ubuntu Trusty)

Very annoying when you have to print a formular for you bank, and the part where you have to sign is missing. I now installed evince, where I can scale to 95 percent.

This is a regression in Okular 0.25.0 (using KDE platform 4.14.22) in Kubuntu Yakkety Yak.

Okular prints A4 pages in A5 size (so shrinks the page), this does not happen with other applications (Documentviewer printing the same pdf, Libreoffice printing other documents).

This bad scaling also appears in opensuse lately.
(opensuse Leap 42.2, KDE 4.14.25, okular 0.26.1)

This might also be related to the swapped width/height parameters reported here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383734

Very likely a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383734

Can you let me know if the problem reproduces using Okular from git master?
