Description RJ Murdok 2015-05-17 17:37:11 UTC
The entire UI cale with with the magnifier on Plasma 5.3 on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. I think it needs immediate attention as to aid the visually impaired user base. It would be great if you guys could fix this as Gnome has issues with it's magnifier a well, and due to thee isue I haven't been able to use Linux for a while :(.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Hold down meta and + at the same time.

Actual Results:
The UI elements scaled with the zoom effect.

Expected Results:
UI elements shouldn't scale to fit magnifier.

This issue only occurs when Breeze is use as the theme. Other themes suffer from this as well, yet the elements are blurred and transparent.

Why shouldn't the UI get bigger when you zoom? Surely that's the entire point?

That's the thing. It remains like it would if you were to not zoom in at well. I guess I should of said that it doen't scale, and because of that you can see UI elements such as the task manager at the bottom even when you are zoomed in. You can replicate this by holding meta and + at the same time. You'll see what I mean.

When I press Meta+Plus it zooms in as normal. The only issue is that the blur area is not updated and so you get a blurred strip where the panel used to be or not fully blurred dialog windows.

Is there any way I can go about fixing this? It is slightly annoying.

So is that grey strip what you're referring to?

I just hit this bug as well, so I attached a screenshot showing this problem.
I have my panel on the right side and currently I'm zooming in to a kwrite window.
