Description sarefo 2001-11-11 08:57:33 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package:           kwin
Version: unknown (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity:          wishlist
Installed from:    SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.4.4-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:

i remember in kde 1x you could move and resize the windows with the cursor keys as well as with the mouse.

looks like kde2 cannot do it any more.

now there are some advantages in this feature. for example i could 'scroll' a very big window from top to bottom just by holding the <up> key.

or one could move the window to the upper left by pressing the <home> key for example (this wasn't in kde 1.x; but hey this is version 2 :)
in fact the numeric pad could very much accelerate window placement.

the four corner keys would place a window in the respective corners of the desktop the four arrow keys would scroll in the respective directions and maybe doubly pressing the arrow keys (or combining it with a modifier) would move the window to the top / bottom / right / left.

would be cool to hear from you if you are planning on (re-)implementing something like this (maybe for kde 3?}
