Beforehand: principally, it's always meaningful to post error messages in C locale, because not every developer has the user's locale (French in your case) installed or set. It's easier when all communication is done in English :-)

The OpenGL image viewer is from Digikam's KIPI plugins, not from KPA itself (so probably, one has to search for issues there). Anyway, it works here (KPA 4.6.1 and git master, which is currently 4.6.2 on Gentoo), I could not reproduce your error … so probably, it's a distribution specific problem?

Kipiplugin's openglviewer works for me when called from Gwenview, but not from KPA (neither 
4.6.1 nor 4.6.2)

 with te same message, but works :
gwenview(10445)/KIPI (loading) KIPI::PluginLoader::Info::plugin: Cannot create instance for 
plugin  "KXMLHelloWorld"  ( "kipiplugin_kxmlhelloworld" )  with error:  "Il est impossible de 
trouver le module externe « KXMLHelloWorld » pour l'application « gwenview »" 
Sorry for my computer's french !!

Only speaking of the localization problem: you can start KPA (and any other program) with it's C locale by launching it from a console with "LC_ALL=C kphotoalbum".

Here Openglv freezes KPA only when nothing is done to select some images (i.e. start kpa -> 
view thumbnails -> run oGLviewer)
It works after making a seardh or selecting a folder).

It seems that the OpenGL image viewer in KIPI plugins has been discontinued.

I'm closing this bug - please reopen if this was in error…
