First time bug opening, so please bear with me. Environment is latest ArchLinux: Hardware: AMD Radeon R9 280X, Intel i5 4 cores Arch: x86_64 Kernel: 4.0 Mesa: 10.5.4 Acceleration: Glamor 0.4 Plasma version: 5.3.0 So after full reboot everything is fine, windows move around very smoothly, GL-expensive application run perfectly, I notice no fps drops. After suspend/video watching or just some long time viewport start to stutter slightly, around 15-30 ms at a time. The interval is always 1 second. Glmark, nevertheless, shows the same results as if fps was the same, but I notice it on windows move or playing games. After some more time the stuttering increases to 50-100 ms at a time. The interval stays 1 second. CPU usage of plasmashell package increases and reaches 15-17%. If I restart X session all goes back to normal, smooth moves, no fps drops, no CPU thirst. Just switching the TTYs back and forth doesn't solve the problem, you need to restart X server completely. Composition switch off/on also doesn't solve the issue. Windows move with stuttering, GL apps suffer too. Note that this thing doesn't happen with gnome-shell so I considered it Plasma-specific. I can provide more info once I'm home. This is the only problem I have now with Plasma. I also consider myself as skilled in C/C++ so feel free to ask anything complex. I'll do anything I can to help you help me.
Is this still a relevant issue for you?
Can you reproduce with Plasma 5.21?
