The plus-icon which appears when hovering over icons in Nautilus allowing selection of multiple objects is barely visible. This impairs usability. Furthermore, hitbox (the area where selection action happens) is larger than the actual plus-icon. This hampers usability further. The actual hitbox for plus-icon appears to be entire top-left quarter of icon like it was in KDE4. Icon should represent this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to click on the plus icon, which is hard to see 2. Click a off the icon Actual Results: Object gets selected when not actually trying to select it Expected Results: Object opens if not clicking the barely visible icon and gets selected when clicking it
Thanks for the bug report, but I cannot reproduce the problem, or maybe I don't understand it correctly. Could you please attach a screenshot that shows the "plus"-icon which is barely visible? Thanks.
Created attachment 92597 [details] Showing the selection plus-icon Top-left corner on hovered over thumbnail. The plus-icon that was previously (KDE4) big and green is now small and black.
Thanks. If I'm not mistaken, this is not a Dolphin issue because the icons are provided by the icon theme. Dolphin just asks the system to show the "list-remove" and "list-add" icons, like it always did. I assume that you use the "Breeze" icon theme?
That's correct, this is Breeze icon theme.
Thanks for the quick reply!
Thre's no easy solution for this. Either the icon is colored differently (breaking consistency), thickened (breaking consistency) or Dolphin changes the icon from list-add to a new one since changing list-add means changing an icon that's used outside of this use case.
Created attachment 94777 [details] emblem icon In several apps you have this overlay icons AND in each app it look different. I would prefer to use emblem icons cause there the designer can define how the overlay icon should look like.
works now in master
