Description David M 2015-05-09 23:48:40 UTC
When using activities and restarting Gwenview no longer appears to save open sessions (photos being viewed) in an activity. For example opening a Dolphin window and two photos in two separate Gwenview windows will result in only the Dolphin window being visible upon restart. Gwenview seems to no longer work with activities.

Expected behavior: Open gwenview windows/photos should be saved within the current activity as occurred in kde4.

Settings: In systemsettings5 all activities are enabled including Gwenview which appears.

Relevant installed packages and versions:
Gentoo

kde-apps/gwenview 15.04.0
kde-frameworks/kactivities 5.10.0 (Frameworks 10)
kde-base/kactivities 4.13.3
kde-plasma/plasma-desktop 5.3.0 (Plasma 5.3)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In separate activity open a dolphin window and two gwenview windows viewing photos
2. logout and reboot
3. Note that the dolphin window appears but not the gwenview windows

Actual Results:
Gwenview instances are not saved with activities as occurred in kde4. Upon reboot no gwenview instances are visible.

Expected Results:
Opened gwenview instances in an activity should be saved upon reboot or logging off and back in.

Works fine in the KDE4 branch.

Also I just noticed a segfault in my logs:

May 9 13:01:18 systemnamehere kernel: kactivitymanage[465]: segfault at 7f5f227f2c50 ip 00007f5f06155f91 sp 00007ffdb0b16de8 error 4 in libQt5Sql.so.5.4.1[7f5f06142000+3f000]

This may or may not be related but likely is. I will search for other bugs and possibly file one elsewhere.
