Hi, Using KDE 4.14.5, Dolphin 4.14.13, on Mageia 5 (RC version) 64bits. I use the possibility to change the names before copying the tracks to back up my CDs as described in: https://docs.kde.org/development/en/kdemultimedia/kioslave/audiocd/index.html When I insert a CD, the audio track are accessible and the names are set as per default. The address is audiocd:/?device=/dev/sr0 But when I try to paste an address to get a custom track name, I cannot get the files. Example of address: audiocd:/?fileNameTemplate=%{trackartist} - %{albumtitle} - %{number} - %{title} expected result: I should see the tracks with the usual folders by format (mp3, flac...) following the name policy I typed. actual result: only one folder appears, it is named: [DVDRW - unknown vendor - hp DVDRAM GT30L] it can be expanded but contains a folder with the same name, and so on, and so on. I recognize my DVD drive model. Thank you,
The documentation for this is in dire need of updating. What I found after googling was this: https://docs.kde.org/trunk4/en/kdemultimedia/kioslave/audiocd/index.html I couldn't find anything for a newer version. As you can see the above documentation does not document what possible placeholders there are for the fileNameTemplate parameter. Eventually I managed to find that when I found the source code: http://code.metager.de/source/xref/kde/Multimedia/audiocd-kio/audiocd.cpp#1104 In addition, the documentation stated that you should use parameters of the form {%number}. I found that to be wrong. I needed to skip the curly brackets. So the following URL worked for me: audiocd:/?device=/dev/sr0&fileNameTemplate=%number - %title (%trackartist) Which gets changed by Dolphin to: audiocd:/?device=/dev/sr0&fileNameTemplate=%25number%20-%20%25title%20(%25trackartist) Also, the documentation seems to hint at it being possible to change the default values for these parameters ("Note that the configuration dialog allows you to set a default value for this option."). However, I could not find any configuration dialog that allows me to do that.
