When I try to switch between Appplication Launcher and Application Menu Plasma crashes

Can you provide the backtrace from the Developer information tab of the DrKonqi window that opens when plasma crashes?

I will see if I can can get the debug rpms installed. Otherwise, the dialogue box says that no useful info in the backtrace
