- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I tried to change file associations then plasma crashed - i hoped plasma would automatically restart like always but it crashed again after pressing alt+f1
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
beforehand file associations didnt work properly

the backtrace is full of KHelpCenter code, are you sure this is plasma crashing and not KHelpCenter crashing?

yeah i know its strange but i didnt even have K HC open ...

there a lot of problems with "chown" and permissions that shouldnt bother desktop users .. 
lucky me I use kubuntu since 8 years (and dont regret it) and can code c, cxx11 and python, bit ruby and c sharp. 
plasma 5 is still extremely unstable ...  it leaks memory ... looking forward when we get rid of x11 in favor of wayland ... 
you cant have a kde 5 session running for days memory and cpu usage will increase steady till itll crash ...
