Description Scarecrow 2015-05-06 03:13:15 UTC
Debian Jessie, upgraded from Wheezy. App launches and loads OK. When creating a note, popup window stating "An error occures during fetching. Do you want select a new default collection?" opens. Clicking "yes" opens a dialog that is blank with nothing to check. Search does nothing.
From Knotes Configuration > Collections, two Notes folders are shown. Checking either, both or none has no effect. Launching from a terminal, the following is displayed: knotes(22502)/kdecore (KLibrary) kde3Factory: The library "/usr/lib/kde4/kcm_knote.so" does not offer an "init_kcm_knote" function.
knotes(22502)/kdecore (KConfigSkeleton) KCoreConfigSkeleton::writeConfig:
 Error during fetch: "Collection 37 does not exist"

Randomly, after doing the above then closing and restarting knotes, a few blank notes appear on the desktop (presumably from previous failed attempt to create). Trying to delete these notes yields console outpoy: knotes(23825)/kdecore (KLibrary) kde4Factory: Expected a KPluginFactory, got a Grantlee::ScriptableTagLibrary
knotes(23825)/kdecore (KLibrary) kde4Factory: The library "/usr/lib/kde4/kcm_knote.so" does not offer a KDE 4 compatible factory.
knotes(23825)/kdecore (KLibrary) kde3Factory: The library "/usr/lib/kde4/kcm_knote.so" does not offer an "init_kcm_knote" function.
knotes(23825) KNotesApp::slotNoteDeleteFinished: "No items found"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run app
2.create note
3.

Actual Results:
See details

Expected Results:
Create note and/or allow user to select a "collection"

This is on a Debian i386 machine with problem appearing after dist-upgrade from Wheezy to Jessie. Thus far no other issues with KDE, apps or OS, following upgrade. At no time does knotes crash, only seems unable to find/handle notes
