Description Peter Chibunna 2015-05-04 15:09:37 UTC
Ark cannot edit archive. Adding files/folders to an existing archive fails.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select files and right-click on them, select "compress -> As (any tar file)
2.Open the created file
3.Try to remove or add another folder or file

Actual Results:
An error box appears with the message "Setting the format failed with the following error: No such format"

Expected Results:
I should be able to add or remove files from the archive

This doesn't happen if I create a 7z archive. It happens also with a .zip file.

Alright, then you are probably being affected by 340456, which the Kubuntu packagers need to address.
