Description Siddhartha 2015-05-03 10:45:08 UTC
So I installed kubuntu (15.04) as I was really impressed with Plasma 5 when I tried it out as a desktop environment on another distro, and was really happy with the entire jingle jangle until I tried opening dolphin. More specifically, a local drive on my computer. It took 35 seconds to even open. And even after that, it takes 15 seconds to become responsive i.e it doesn't register a click until 15 seconds.
After that, everything works fine. But the half minute wait is really taking the buzz off the entire environment. Please do something about this.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Simply open dolphin.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
35 second lag. Then 15 second lag again for responsiveness.

Expected Results:
Opened instantly.

Thanks for the bug report!

Could you please try to get a backtrace which provides more information about the cause of the 15 second freezes? See https://community.kde.org/Dolphin/FAQ/Freeze for details. Thanks for your help!

It can also be related to a kded module blocking the D-Bus. If this is reproducible, please try to disable kded modules to check, if that is indeed the case.
