In kde5, when kcron is installed, there is no longer an entry for it in the systemsettings. Reproducible: Always
Reason: kcm_cron.desktop has X-KDE-System-Settings-Parent-Category=system-administration, but no category system-administration in systemsettings5 Workaround: Use "kcmshell5 kcm_cron" in konsole
$ kcmshell5 kcm_cron kf5.kservice.sycoca: Trying to open ksycoca from "/home/ill/.cache/ksycoca5" Could not find module 'kcm_cron'. See kcmshell5 --list for the full list of modules. i | kcron | package | 14.12.3-16.3 | x86_64 | openSUSE:13.2:Update
"kcmshell5 kcm_cron" works for me using kubuntu 15.04 with plasma 5.3 in a virtual machine and in recent frameworks/plasma/applications (master) compiled from sources
kcron 14.12 is the KDE4 version. To start it, use "kcmshell4 kcm_cron" or systemsettings from KDE4 (if this is co-installable with the Plasma5 version). To get the KF5 version, you need kcron from the KDE Applications 15.04 release.

Git commit 5d5dbbc5891aaf82e538413c0453fd49016a9ac5 by Burkhard Lück. Committed on 28/05/2016 at 15:09. Pushed by lueck into branch 'master'. Add kcron to systemsettings 1) kcm_cron.desktop has X-KDE-System-Settings-Parent-Category=system-administration, but there is no category system-administration in systemsettings5 changed this to systemsettings5 category session as already patched by debian patch by Jeremy Lainé 2) kcron is a kcm, therefore the docbook should be installed in subdir kcontrol like all other kcm docbooks REVIEW:128033 M +2 -2 doc/CMakeLists.txt M +2 -2 src/kcm_cron.desktop http://commits.kde.org/kcron/5d5dbbc5891aaf82e538413c0453fd49016a9ac5
