After setting up a shorter delay and faster repeat rate than default and hitting Apply the new settings take effect as expected. But after the next boot settings are as slow as they were before the change. When I open the system settings again the custom values are there, so my settings are indeed remembered, but they did not get applied. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set custom values for keyboard repeat delay and rate and save them. 2. Restart your box. 3. Don't get your settings reapplied. :( The keyboard I'm using (Apple Wireless) is connected via a HID-proxy-capable bluetooth-adapter (D-Link DBT-120) and it seems to undergo a reconnect after submitting the login-form, possibly through the switching from HID- to HCI-mode.
Guido I've just tested this on KDE Neon Unstable and I cannot reproduce the issue. Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I'm setting status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.

Now on opensuse tumbleweed: I updated to the latest packages and tried to change the settings again: The behavior is now different, but still erroneous: 1. The preview field does not reflect any changes, neither rate nor delay. 2. When hitting the aoply button the settings do not get applied. 3. Only after a relogin do the new settings become active.
I also have this bug, on debian testing (plasma 5.21.5, KF 5.85.0, Qt 5.15.2)
