I am trying to to copy text from clipboard to krita and it does not seem to be working. I did the test if this functions work in krita application when I type the text into krita via text tool and then highlight the chosen text and use cut or copy and then paste - nothing happend. In Klipper also is no item to be presented. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Choose text from clipboard (external text editor KWrite) and copy / paste it 2. Try to insert this text to new field in krita text tool and nothing happend Actual Results: If I am choosing keyboard shortcut "ctrl+c" or "ctrl+v" or "ctrl+x" or if I am choosing commands for these operations from menu, it does not work an also klipper is empty so probably manipulating with clipboard is not functioning in krita. Expected Results: I will be able to copy paste every text from clipboard to krita. Using OpenSuse 13.2
Hi Janek, Thanks for your report. Pasting text works for me in the multiline text tool but not in the artistic text tool. It's probably not even a bug, just something that hasn't been implemented yet because the author of the artistic text tool has disappeared some years ago :-( It's going under the header of text tools and "things we need to fix when we rewrite the text tools".

Resolving all text tool bugs as Later, since the text tool will no longer be developed, but replaced.
We just merged the new text tool.
