Description temporary987 2015-04-27 13:15:38 UTC
After I open and close Krunner or any of the Plasma widgets (for example, Kickoff menu or Calendar which appears when i click on Clock widget, or Notification Zone), sometimes shadows around them remain on the screen and start blinking. I have Nvidia GTX770, 346.59 proprietary driver, ubuntu vivid. I have tried all the options about anti-tearing in effect settings, as well as opengl 2.0 and opengl 3.0. Disabling effects solves the problem, because without effects there are no shadows.
Unfortunately, I cannot attach a video of this bug, because once I start recording it with recordmydesktop, the problem disappears! So, only screenshots (in attach). These shadows blink for 2-3 seconds and disappear totally

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Krunner of click at any plasma widget, which would open a plasma popup
2. Close it

Actual Results:
The shadow remains around the place, where was window, and it blinks for 2-3 seconds

Expected Results:
Window should disappear totally

I have also tried XRender: the problem is still here, but these shadows do not blink, just remain on their place and disappear soon.

I have tried disabling such effects as Blur, semi-transparency, fading out.

Also, this bug is only seen only in the desktop zone (not on the window): 4th attachment

With the biggest animation speed (no animation) it doesn't reproduce, in the next position it is just as on the screenshot, in the next position it still exist, but can hardly be seen, in next positions there is no such problem

By saying "can hardly be seen" i mean these shadows are more transparent.
