Baloo seems to be installed (not baloo package itself but I have libbaloocore4, libbalooxapian4 etc.).
When I tried to write "filenamesearch://" into path in dolphin I also get error "Invalid protocol".
I try it on fresh install of Kubuntu 15.04 and then I update to KDE 5.3 via kubuntu/backports ppa and I get same result.

Ok this looks like a downstream/packaging bug, kde-baseapps (15.04) should contain the filenamesearch ioslave. Please open a bug report in the Kubuntu bug tracker, thanks!
