I have three KDE users set up. When they log in and use the "Leave/Switch user" command they are shown the two other users' accounts and also a three "Unused (:1, vt2)" accounts. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log in as one user in KDE. 2. Leave/Switch user 3. Log in as a 2nd user. 4. Leave/Switch user 5. Log in as a 3rd user. 6. Leave/Switch user Actual Results: System lists "Unused (:1, vt2)" amongst user accounts: http://www.asktoby.com/miscimages/bug.jpg Selecting them leads to one of the normal user accounts. Expected Results: System should only show user accounts. (Or, if this is intentional, maybe explain better what it is showing and what it is for?) Sorry if this is not KWin, I'm not sure what component it is.
Do you feel like being a "window"? ;-) Either logind spams garbage or krunner (the session plugin) doesn't filter it. Could be some library function.
Hey Toby, thanks for reporting this bug. The KRunner code base, and underlying libraries have changed significantly for Plasma 5. Could you please try this out with Plasma 5.2/.3 and let us know if it is still an issue?
Just updated to Fedora 23 KDE spin yesterday. I'm running kf5-plasma.x86_64 5.17.0-3.fc23. Not caught up to 5.2/.3 yet, will report back when I do.
This bug affects multiple distributions, apparently. I get this exact same thing on an up to date Manjaro Linux (based on Arch). plasma-desktop 5.5.4-1.1 plasma-framework 5.19.0-2 so Plasma 5.5.4, KDE Applications 15.12.2.
