I have a fresh install of Kubuntu 15.04. When I launch Dolphin, I go to the top left menu and choose More Actions -> Special Window Settings. On the Size & Position tab, I enable both Position and Size and say "Remember" for both and move and size Dolphin as I want. Upon restarting Dolphin, I see that the size is remembered but not the position - it always appears in the upper left. I did not have this problem when running Kubuntu 14.10 and no other application I've noticed has this problem, hence why I am logging the bug under Dolphin. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Dolphin. 2. Go to the top left menu and choose More Actions -> Special Window Settings 3. On the Size & Position tab, enable both Position and Size and say "Remember" for both. Move Dolphin to the middle of the screen. 4. Restart Dolphin and note the position is in the top left. Actual Results: Dolphin always starts in the upper left. Expected Results: Dolphin should start where it was last at.
Not reproducible for me on Platform: Archlinux Frameworks: 5.28.0-1 Dolphin: 16.08.3 I searched for bugs related to this one, thinking this might be a Kwin issue, but while there ARE other occurences of programs not honoring the size or position settings, they seem to be unrelated as multiple programs aren't affected at once. (e.g. one person may have trouble with konsole not honoring the settings, but dolphin works, another may have the reverse problem.)
