Description Paul Sommer 2015-04-24 16:46:23 UTC
The contact and calendar looses sync on owncloud after a while.

I use ownCloud 7.0.4 (stable) to sync my desktop and smartfones.

When I add the server for the address book and calendar everything works fine. Changes are spread to all connected devices.
After some while Kontact refuses to get updated contents and to push updates to the server. Pressing F5 doesn't help.
There's no error message. It just does nothing.
In former versions I got a message like "For sync the ressource has to be set online. Should I do that?" But this didn't help either. In the current version there's no such message anymore.

a "akonadictl restart" helps in MOST of the cases.

This is very annoying as I already missed appointments because of the broken sync.

If I can provide any logs or output, please let me know.

I confirm this problem. Working on Kubuntu 14.04, KDE/Kontact 4.13.3.

this is mode than annoying, because there is no error report, we think all is done correctly… but the local storage of calendar in not synchronized with the storage on OwnCloud - in both ways.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 3 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 22:13:13 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
