Description Michael D 2015-04-22 07:10:50 UTC
My local time zone is set to Berlin and shows correctly. But when I add multiple time zones, their times are shown incorrectly on hover (they show 4hrs ahead, local time still shows correctly). Also, after selecting multiple zones, another mysterious time zone is shown that has no city/code label, which is 4 hours ahead of my local time zone.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select multiple time zones
2. Hover over clock to show time of all zones

Actual Results:
Incorrect times are shown (they all show 4hrs ahead)

Expected Results:
Correct time is shown

I updated Kubuntu 14.10 to 15.04 (post beta 2), so from Plasma 4 to Plasma 5.

Thanks for the report.

In order to reproduce and possibly fix, can you please include all the timezones you have selected and what time does it show and what time it should show?

Eg.
timezone - displayed time - actual time
Berlin (local) - 10:44 - 10:44
Paris - 12:44 - 10:44

Ideally also attach a screenshot of the tooltip.

Thanks

Oh and your version of tzdata package, please.
Comment 3 Michael D 2015-04-22 08:55:21 UTC
Thanks for the follow-up.

At the moment I only have Toronto as an additional timezone, but I also had Tokyo and Vancouver before. I've attached a screenshot of the problem.

Right now I have:

Berlin (local) - 10:52 AM - 10:52 AM
Toronto - 8:53 AM - 4:53 AM
unnamed zone - 2:53 PM - ?

The day and year are the same.

Michael - actually I think there's a bug that crept in 5.2.2, we've fixed it for 5.3, could you perhaps check with 5.3 if that still shows things wrongly?
Comment 8 Michael D 2015-04-28 07:18:28 UTC
Unfortunately, I went back to Plasma 4. However, before that, I did install Kubuntu 15.04 (final) from scratch and updated to 5.3 beta via ppa:kubuntu-ppa/beta. The bug was still present, from what I recall.

Comment 10 Martin Klapetek 2016-02-03 20:43:44 UTC
This should all be fixed now.

Please reopen if you can reproduce with Plasma 5.5.
