Description DR 2015-04-19 15:19:25 UTC
Hi,

every time I log in after KDM is started (it does not happen when re-logging!) splash screen appears but after a while resizes/moves up showing bar at the bottom, about 100px wide. In that bar/uncovered area you can see:

1. A background used by KDM theme for login prompt. Then it changes to...
2. ... a black area followed by...
3. ... my wallpaper set together with a taskbar, piece of widget placed in the right-bottom corner and a mouse cursor (if mouse pointer moved there).

I checked different splash themes, moved taskbar to other screen edge - it keeps showing at the bottom.

Log off and log on again - it is fine.
Log off and restart KDM - it appears again on login.

KDE version: 4.14 (mainly)
KDM version: 4.11 (no newer in Debian)
Plasma versions:
    - kde-plasma-desktop: 84
    - plasma-*: 4.11.13 / 4.14.2

I am aware of the fact that I have packages in different versions for different pieces (it is how Debian provides them, though) but maybe that would ring a bell for anyone of you anyway.

Regards,
Daniel

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start KDM
2. Type login and password
3. Splash starts and then misbehaves.

Actual Results:
Bar (transparent) visible at the bottom.

Expected Results:
Splash covers all the screen until it finishes.
