A CD that has more than 32 tracks (e.g., a language lesson CD) can only have the first 32 tracks copied via KIO. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert CD with >32 tracks 2. Open Dolphin. Split window and attempt to copy all files to hard drive (/tmp or anywhere) 3. Note that only the first 32 tracks will copy and then the copy process hangs Actual Results: Doesn't matter if you copy them all or copy just track 33 (or higher) the process hangs (at least over night). Tracks 1-32 are fine and finish in a reasonable time. Expected Results: All tracks should copy regardless of their number. cdparanoia can copy tracks above 32 so things like abcde work.
are you extracting mp3 or ogg? if you run kdebugdialog and enable the output bug kio_audiocd and then run konqueror from a shell does it say anything regarding audiocd? and if you run kded4 --nofork?
