I was exploring KMix, hit the "New view" button, selected "Only playback controls", and the KMix main window became full of alternating black and white lines or stripes, making it impossible to use any controls unless I knew where they were. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. Display only the master, pcm, video, cd, mic, line, and mic select controls, in that order. 2. Click "New View" button. 3. Select "Only playback controls". "Only capture controls" would probably do the same thing. Actual Results: The KMix main window became full of alternating black and white lines or stripes, making it impossible to use any controls unless I knew where they were. All dialogs still work fine, and the problem persisted even after a reboot. The menus are still accessible and the window can be moved. Continuing to explore the problem, I found out the window changed to maximized view when the "New view" setting changed. Turning off maximization solves the problem. Re-maximizing does not reproduce the bug, so it is non-reproducible. Reinstalling the software does not reproduce the bug either. Expected Results: The window should have had visible controls and menus. My relevant specs are: Intel 865G onboard graphics Slackware 14.0 (again) KMix 4.1 on KDE 4.8.5 Intel ICH5 82801EB Audio controller with Realtek ALC650 Audio device Don't hesitate to ask for more information; I'll try to provide. I have a screenshot of the bug, but I don't know where or how you would like me to post this.

Disregard comment in bug description about screenshot. As you can see, I posted it above. I didn't know how to attach something to the bug report at that time.
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Considering that KDE 4.x is likely unsupported now, I no longer use Slackware or even Linux as my primary operating system and thus no longer use KDE, almost 6 years have passed, and the circumstances of the bug originally, I'm marking this resolved as unmaintained. It's not important to anyone anymore.
