Description Igor Tarasov 2015-04-11 08:50:48 UTC
Currently if a user wants to assign hotkey for region screenshot, or active window screenshot he has to do it via custom shortcuts by creating separate hotkeys for each action that would invoke ksnapshot with command-line arguments, such as --current or --region. This is not too user-friendly. Could we, please, just have these special cases in global shortcuts?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to System Settings > Shortcuts and Gestures > Global Keyboard Shortcuts
2. Try to find something like "Make a screenshot of currently active window" or "Make a screenshot of a region"

Actual Results:
There are no such options available

Expected Results:
You can't find these options

It should have provided these options.

It would be nice if the shortcuts would be configurable directly from ksnapshot (e.g. like it is done in Yakuake --> Configure Shortcuts...).

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug. Spectacle is the replacement for ksnapshot now. Please test again and file a new bug for Spectacle if you still have issues. Thank you!
