With breeze-dark icons theme, that inherits icons for mimetypes from breeze, generic icons (like image-x-generic) are not shown. kiconfinder5 finds such icons correctly:
$ kiconfinder5 image-x-generic
/usr/share/icons/breeze/mimetypes/file-types/image-x-generic.svg


Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the bug report! Do FolderView or the file dialog show the correct icons?

Both of them show icons for file-types/unknown.

I cannot reproduce this behavior with Dolphin 17.12.3, the icons show up correctly for me. Can you confirm that this bug is now fixed?
