Description JayH 2015-04-06 13:24:19 UTC
The look of the brush under the cursor in Windows 7/8 appears to display incorrectly compared to Linux. It has a purple colour and is aliased. Please see the image provided:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ml536cswdzpvwn/krita%20sampl%20brush%20problem.jpg?dl=0

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use the brush/cursor and move it around
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Looks poor

Expected Results:
As far as I can remember it should be black, or grey.

That happens if opengl is disabled, or if we cannot use shaders in opengl. Could you check your display settings?
Comment 2 JayH 2015-04-08 10:06:51 UTC
Yeah, by default I have OpenGL switched on, very laggy without, even though I have high spec system, Nvida Geforce 560ti, etc.

Without OpenGL on, it's the same.

Additionally when you move the cursor off the canvas and to the grey area, the brush colour changes to Green.

The change in color when leaving the image is normal.

What are your exact opengl settings? Is it like:

OpenGL enabled
High Quality Filtering
Use Texture Buffer

?

Yep, those exactly:

OpenGL enabled,
High Quality Filtering,
Use Texture Buffer.

It might be some driver/Qt rendering bug :(

Probably, you could try updating NVidia drivers?

Yes, different drivers render the cursor in a different way, I'm afraid.
