Description P Shao 2015-04-02 22:19:12 UTC
Recently I noticed that if in konsole I keep pressing the enter key to "reload" the bash prompt, I am receiving unnormal results:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
shallpion@mymachine:
shallpion@mymachine:
shallpion@mymachine:
shallpion@mymachine:
...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some lines are missing. It does not have a fix frequency for the missing line, but most likely for each 2-6 line of new bash prompt, one is blank. I did some experiment, and it appears that konsole now does not honor the KDE settings for keyboard repeat rate. Mine is the default 25/s, but for konsole it is stuck at around 50/s as I count, which is too high for the display I suppose. On the contrary, keybord repeat remains normal in either gnome-terminal or konsole 2.13 which I built from source for testing. It appears to be something broken in the passage 2.x->3.0

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open konsole, stay at the shell prompt
2. keep pressing enter
3. then it happens

Actual Results:
broken reloading lines of prompt

Expected Results:
display smoothly

Despite repeating Enter a lot, I am not able to reproduce this issue. Can you confirm that this bug is now fixed.

Konsole 18.08.2
