Description dylan.ruppell 2015-03-29 19:58:54 UTC
As the description says, my Razer Megalodon headset (usb audio output/input device w/ 7.1 surround sound) is not recognized as an audio output device, but it is recognized as an audio input device. I have seen many guides to solve this problem, all of which have failed, and I have reverted all of the changes those guides suggested to solve the problem

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log into Kubuntu
2. Plug in Razer Megalodon
3. View "Audio and Video Settings - KDE Control Module" to see list of Audio Playback devices

Actual Results:
Razer Megalodon not available as audio output device

Expected Results:
Razer Megalodon available as audio output device

Kubuntu Version: 14.04
KDELibs Version: 4.13.3
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Kernel Version: 3.16.0-31-generic
OS Type 64-bit

Phonon probably does not determine the type itself, but queries lower-level libraries. Reassigning for inspection.
